About Me

Welcome to my blog! The name needs a little explanation: “Positive Destinations” is used to describe what you do once you’ve finished school, or what career you decide to go into. But to me, it sounds like a pretty good name for a travel-themed blog.

My name is Elaine, and I’m a 19 year old girl. I was born in Scotland, but my family are from all over the place – apparently, I’m part English, Scottish, Welsh and Swiss. What a combination!

I’m currently studying at the University of Glasgow, and my degree is Single Honours German. I’m also doing Comparative Literature as an elective. I’m really enjoying it, but it’s extremely hard work. I love having such an international focus in my courses, and I absolutely love being a student.

I’m currently on my Erasmus Exchange in Mainz, Germany. I can’t wait to write all about my adventures here!

I can’t identify where my love of travelling started – I think I was born with the wanderlust that seems to run in my family! All I know is that I feel happiest when I’m on holiday somewhere else. I hope you enjoy the blog!
